What is Staging?

Our answer is simple.

Home Staging is NOT decorating.  Simply put, decorating is turning a house into a home, while staging is turning a home into a house.  Essentially, staging transforms a property into a commodity which is intended to market and appeal  to the largest amount of potential buyers.  We bring out a property’s truest potential, so that the buyers fall in love with it right when they walk through the front door, but more importantly; fall in love with the lifestyle of living in that particular property.

Properly staged homes have measurable effects :

  • On average spend 75% less time on the market, typically sell for more money and have fewer concessions requested by the seller. (Source: RESA)

  • 81% of buyers say that home staging makes it easier to visualize the property as their future home. (Source: National Association of Realtors)

  • Buyers are willing to spend 1% to 5% more of the dollar value on a staged home than a non-staged home. (Source: National Association of Realtors)

  • Sellers who spent $500 on staging recovered 343% of the cost when they sold their home. (Source: Homegains)

  • 63% of buyers will pay more money for a move-in ready home

"Home Staging tells a buyer the story of the home, and the beautiful life that could be lived there."

Our Philosophy.

We believe that in a sea of competition, your home needs to stand out.

So how do we do this?

We take the time to thoughtfully curate furnishings and accessories to not only fit the style of your particular  property, but more importantly to speak to the buyer on an emotional level.

Everything that we do is unique to your property.

Here are just a few things that you can expect when you stage with Greenwood Staging Company:

  • We make your property look as big and bright as possible for MLS photography and in-person showings, which translates to a greater pool of potential buyers.

  • Increase the perceived value of the house to avoid low-ball offers - our style helps the buyer to psychologically remember the property as being well cared for.

  • Bring attention to the beautiful architectural features, as we want to ensure your buyer is admiring the best parts of the home as well as downplay any negative aspects.

  • Create good flow in each space through furniture layout and other staging techniques.

  • We will make your property a MUST-SEE!  It is our goal that your listing stands out on MLS and we want your home to be the best house in the area in your price point.

  • Create a memorable space to connect the buyer to the property emotionally.
